Valuable. Important. Skilled. Useful. Active. Legendary.
Are you Valuable? - Just like the word success, people define value in many dumb ass ways. This is because people who lack value want to make themselves feel better. Collins dictionary describes the word valuable very clearly, “Of considerable use, SERVICE, or importance.” Women are born with their value, but men must create, build, and cultivate theirs. SERVE and Be of SERVICE.
Are you Important? - Oxford Dictionary defines important as, “Having a GREAT effect on people or things.” To have great influence you must first be able to do many things successfully and efficiently. This is accomplished by never ceasing to learn and try new endeavors. Second, to be important, you must do important shit. People claim to be so busy, but at the end of the day, they ain’t really doing a got damn thing. You must always ask yourself if the work you are doing is important or at the very least, is it important enough? When the answer is yes, you will always find the motivation to do what needs to be done even when you don’t feel like it. Be COMPETENT.
Are you Skilled? - What does James Bond, Bruce Wayne, John Wick, and You in every single video game you’ve ever played have in common? Skills, which is detailed as, “The ability to use one’s KNOWLEDGE effectively and readily in execution or performance.” Fuck all that bullshit you put on a resume. If it was the end of the world, what skills do you have that would make you an asset to a tribe? Be IMPRESSIVE.
Are you Useful? -A Self-Made Man must obtain the abilities, fitness, and/or qualities necessary to do or achieve specified things. “My dad always told me, “Be Useful, Arnold.” It’s the best piece of advice my father gave me.”-Arnold Schwarzenegger. Be CAPABLE.
Are you Active? - YOU are the male influence in your woman’s life. YOU are the doer. YOU are the spark. YOU are the initiation. YOU are the teacher. YOU are your woman’s outlet to new experiences and to feeling safe and secure. YOU are the creator. YOU are the leader. YOU are who actively shows your woman the world. YOU do not sit around and wait for things to happen, YOU do not let things happen to you, YOU happen to things. YOU are the motion. Be MASCULINE.
Are you Legendary? - This is not about being a legend to other people, this is about being “the man” in your own story. If you told your 9-year-old self all the things you have done up until this point, would he look upon you with pride and joy, or with shame and disappointment? “If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, then you become something else entirely.
