Toxic

R&B singer Ari Lennox recently said, “I think I have a thing for toxic energy, so there’s still some healing I need to do. When I look back at all these energies, it’s a shame I gave them so much of my time while there were sweet energies I didn’t. Now I see those sweet energies getting married and starting families. I’m thinking that could’ve been me if I had recognized the security in those people at the time.”

Let’s Go 2 Work.

A man with sweet energy validates his woman, and in return, his opinions lose all value. He doesn’t realize that the more he worships her body, the more she resents his gaze. The more he provides safety and security, the more restless and bored she becomes. The more she knows he’ll stay, the more she tests if he’ll go.

The more comfort he offers, the more discomfort she creates.

The more he prioritizes her happiness, the more miserable she acts.

And the more he treats her as an equal… the more she sees him as an inferior.

In the book “Atlas of the Heart”, author Brene Brown presents a guide into understanding 87 human emotions. When a woman says she likes men who are toxic, what she’s really saying is that she likes men who can provoke those 87 feelings.

Sometimes the toxic man makes her feel anxious, vulnerable, and confused.

Other times…curious, uncertain, and surprised.

He’s makes her feel nervous, connected, but most of all… alive.

The toxic man makes her feel.

And so does the man on his purpose.
