NEVER show your children weakness, your son especially, must always see you walking in strength.
Never show your children cowardice.
NEVER show sloth and laziness.
Be very aware of what you say to your children. The words you speak affects who they will or will not become.
Live a life that is full of purpose so that you may expose them to more than sports and entertainment.
Champion self-knowledge and self-awareness.
Do not punish them for telling you the truth, for you will only welcome lies.
Keep your No’s up.
Welcome them back home, no matter when, no matter what.
Seek first to understand, then to be understood.
Encourage, never discourage.
Though they are yours, they are still people…respect them.
Don’t be a fucking idiot.
It’s okay to show your son affection.
It’s okay to say, “Good job.”
It’s okay to say, “I’m proud of you.”
Tell them why.
Because the clock is always ticking, show them how to honor time.
Apologize.
Teach them not what some pastor says about God, but what you say about God.
Teach your son responsibility, for this one thing is what will make him a man.
Last but not least,
Teach your children… love.
