So, with that said let’s get right into it. How do you find your purpose? Here’s the answer…. FOLLOW your natural enthusiasm…. FOLLOW your natural excitement! It’s that simple! Here’s the magic of doing this… even if it is not the thing you’re meant to do, your natural excitement will lead you to the thing that will lead to thing that will eventually lead you to your life’s task.
I started off with basketball. I loved basketball, it brought me great excitement and joy, but it wasn’t the thing. Through basketball I met people who wrote music which in return grew my interest in rapping. I love to write, ever since I was a small child. So, through my excitement for basketball, I found another passion for writing songs and collaborating with like-minded people. Through music, I learned how to run a business, manage artists, and how to market products which then led to me getting a business management degree. Along the way, I learned how to use a microphone and also how to create content, thus…here I am now still writing and still using the microphone through our podcast which I enjoy very much.
I didn’t say all of that to stunt, lol. I said all that to say, when I was playing basketball, I had no idea that later on it would lead to me having my own podcast, hell… podcasts didn’t even exist back then. I’ve just been FOLLOWING my natural enthusiasm without even knowing it.
So, say right now something inside of you loves to fight, ok, try boxing or martial arts. Something inside you loves outdoors, loves to talk, loves to draw, loves women...lol, FOLLOW it. Your love for women might lead to you becoming a psychologist or a counselor for women, you never know. Just make sure the energy you follow is always towards something positive and righteous.
How do you find your purpose you say? Just FOLLOW what excites you! Imagine for a second…6-year-old you came back from the past. He comes to your door and asks you…" Yo! Tell me about all the great and exciting things we got going on!” Don’t you want to have some dope shit to tell him? Okay then, let’s get to it! Enthusiasm comes from the spirit of God, FOLLOW it, and find your purpose, holla!
