Me: On a scale from one to ten, how well do you think you understand your subconscious self?
Her: Hmm, that’s a weird and interesting question, I’m gonna say… four. Tell me more about this.
Me: The subconscious self is your nature.
Her: I was wondering to myself, “What does your subconscious self and the Holy Spirit have to do with each other?” Like, this is who I am inside all of the pieces, all of who I am, do they line up with who the Holy Spirit is calling me to be?
Me: I’m thinking, “What the fuck is she talking about?”
Her: How can you intentionally surrender a pattern to God if you don’t recognize that the pattern exists? (valid question)
Me: You all over the place.
Her: Don’t you think there are patterns about ourselves, that we knowingly/unknowingly do? Some patterns are harmless/ some harmful. If you don’t know what they are how can you submit to the Lord?
Me: You’re trying to mix the brain and the spirit together and I don’t know why.
Also Me: Ain’t gon’ lie… I forget how frustrating it is to ask you questions.
Her: That makes me feel like I can’t share stuff like that with you. When you do that, it feels judgmental and dismissive.
Let’s Go 2 Work
Never try to have in-depth conversations with women because if you do, one of these three things will always happen…
They’re going to generalize what should be personal and personalize what should be general.
They’re going to be doing a hundred other things while also trying to have a real conversation with you which will cause all of their responses to be delayed, incompendious, and unfocused, leaving you flummoxed and annoyed.
At the end of it, if you’ve failed to kiss their ass, they’re going to flip the whole thing around and find some genius way to shame, guilt, and/ or insult you.
When you have loads of knowledge and wisdom, value often just spills out, but as the bible verse goes, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” (Matthew 7:6)
Your mission, as is mine, is to never forget what Cyndi Lauper told us in the 1980’s hit pop song… “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
Going forward just save all the deep, intellectual, thought-provoking shit for when speaking with other gods.
