Main Quest

I don’t play video games often, but when I do, I love playing the side quests. Why? Because they’re uncomplicated and they make you feel super productive.

I have this same tendency in real life. I box, I pod, I entertain a girl or two, and though I enjoy it all, each endeavor is nothing more than a side quest.

We avoid the main quest in our lives mainly because the beginning stage, the level where you’re complete trash, is straight murder.

For one, the main quest is beyond difficult.

Two, it requires a great deal of sacrifice and there’s a huge possibility that it could be all for nothing. I know, “All you need is faith.” Valid, but faith doesn’t negate the feeling of anxiety and fright.

Three, learning and practicing the skills needed for the journey is not only lonely but also monotonous as hell. Furthermore, you eventually have to get in the ring and showcase your newly acquired skills to the world which means you must ignore the fact that you look like a dumbass and push past the cringe.

Knowing all of this, it’s no wonder why we procrastinate with side missions.

Be that as it may…

Nevertheless…
