At that time, I didn’t know how true he was.
I would come to realize that smiles are a form of currency. A type of currency you can’t ask another man for. It’s in the actions you take and the words you draw out of yourself that gives you the ability to collect smiles.
Don’t get me wrong, a genuine smile from a woman is a sought-after past time of mines, but that’s not the main purpose of collecting smiles. The main reason for collecting smiles is that sometimes it’s the only thing you will receive.
After the long hours, the hard work, 9 times out of 10 there won’t be no thank you, or any other sign of appreciation.
One thing a person can’t control is a genuine smile, the ones where you see their eyes light up and the corners of their mouth almost touch their ears.
Collect that.... draw energy from it,
because most of the time,
that’s all you gon’ get.
