Do You

Them: "It's either black or white. There is no in between.”

B Wayne: "Hear me out..."

For as long as I can remember, I would fight. Not physically, mind you, but about views, ideas, and certain constructs. Having anyone tell me "This is how it is" usually sparked a spirit inside of me that yearned to push back because that can't be the end of it. Eventually, I got older and weary of these fights. I came to a point that it was just easier to go along to get along. It wasn't until recently that the spark resurfaced. What I realized is that the fight in me, that spark that said "push back" is what made me.......me.

Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, that you hear on the 2 Deep podcast and what you have read thus far in these Self-Made Articles will ABSOLUTELY help to develop you into the man you want to be.

Here is the one caveat...

You have to fit these teachings into who you already are at your core.

If you believe in a higher power, then you should know that it created you to be unique. Your looks, your thoughts, your gifts cannot be duplicated. Only YOU can provide this world with YOUR specific gift.

In a time where being part of a hive mind is the norm, individualism cuts through the bullshit like the best Samari sword.

Author Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment".

I know what you're thinking, "Being myself has gotten me nowhere!"

I cannot disagree with you on that point. You do have to change, but not who you are, not what you value, and not what you like to do. Only change how you view things, what you prioritize, and who you spend time with.

So, my suggestion to you, sir, is to embrace who you are!

Because at the end of the day, the world has enough of "them".

The world NEEDS YOU.
