God: Would you like to become somebody, or continue being nobody?
You: Truthfully…I’m tired of making other people rich. I’m tired of glorifying other people’s names…Gucci, Lamborghini, Jordan, all while mine remains invisible. I’m tired of busting my ass and having nothing to show for it. And on some real shit, I’m sick and tired of being so damn average. So, with all that said, I would like to make my future-self proud and become somebody.
God: Very well. Before we begin, do you know the difference between your gift and your talent?
You: Aren’t they the same thing?
God: No. Your gift is what I have given to you, the raw material. And your talent is the cultivation of that gift, the manufactured material. For instance, a person’s gift might be exceptional athleticism. But as they age, their athleticism is sure to decline. It will then be their talent, as in the skills, knowledge, and systems they have acquired, developed, and channeled that will continue to take care of them.
You: So, pretty much, my talent is my gift refined and maximized?
God: Yes. Now, to become somebody, you must honor the following conditions:
#1- Follow your enthusiasm. This will help you find your gift. Ironically, the word enthusiasm comes from the Greek word ‘entheos’ which means the God within.
#2- Apply your gift to the craft that fits and relentlessly perfect it. This application will water your talent.
#3. Never take your gift and talent for granted.
#4. WORK.
#5. Do not quit.
#6. Serve.
#7. The GLORY is mine.
Also God: There will be times where you will question your decision. You will say to yourself, “Why am I doing all of this? This is too hard. I just want to go back to being a nobody.” Never forget that it is during these periods that I am testing you the most. The smartphone you currently hold was tested numerous times before the company could stamp its official brand on it. Remember that you chose this path because deep inside you know that I created you for much more. When it is dark, TRUST in me, BELIEVE in yourself, and keep GOING. True desire in the heart for anything good is my PROOF to you sent beforehand to indicate that it is yours already. Now… the time has come. My contractual obligations are laid out before you. Will you make the deal and trespass into the domain of immortality …or will you continue to argue with greatness?
